Hi Guys
Greetings from Glasgow Celtic. I am researching an old (very old) Leyton player, Ebenezer Owers. Born in East Laytonstone, London on 21 October 1888. His father Henry was a tobacconist and the family lived over the shop in Leytonstone High Street. After schools football, Ebenezer played for Leytonstone / Leyton, Blackpool and Celtic before signing on with 23 (Sportsmen's) battalion Royal Fusiliers in 1914 in London. He was later wounded in the trenches and medically discharged from the army. Any information on his career at Layton or what happened to him after his discharge from the army would be gratefully recieved.
Cheers

Hi Ian,
Ebenezer Owers is my great grandfather. As I've only just begun to search my family tree, I don't have a lot to tell. However I would be interested in anything you can tell me about his time at Celtic, and anything Leyton could tell us both.
